Afaik higher APS will make you dog faster (although I could be wrong since I dont blatant cheat with vape anymore).

Do you mean when holding right click or not. Because if it gets them anticheat banned without holding right click it just means Hypixel finally patched no rotation aura/multiaura (since a lot of pit players use this/high attack range (unlikely)
I mean when holding right click. I don’t know if they can even patch no rotation for pit as pit is weird with some stuff (vanilla fly working from launcher, bow disabling timer checks etc). And if they did patch it I honestly thing the pit community would burn minikloons house down.

Hypixel doesn't detect horizontal velocity on values that aren't negative/above 100 (but even then you can still go a bit negative velocity). It works just as well in duels as any other gamemode. Detections are only a bit different in pit and I believe skyblock but those don't affect velocity.

Because duels are simpler and most of them don't have weird mechanics and such so detecting cheats is easier since you don't have so many variables (one reason why watchdog is pretty lenient, since it has to account for a lot of things) but reliably detecting horizontal velocity probably wouldn't be possible with current watchdog. They'd have to recode a lot of stuff to detect reach & horizontal velocity. I can see why people would think duels might have stricter checks though.
