Why does low reach make it so I can hit entities from 5 blocks????

ive reported this to the bug report but im not sure why this is an issue, i have my reach at 3.1 blocks but im able to hit from 5 blocks....

I might be doing something wrong but if someone can test this out and make sure that would be great

If you're in creative mode your default reach goes from 3 to 5. It's a vanilla mechanic, vape isn't causing anything here.

oh thats probably why, i apologize, i just was destorying people with 3.15 reach (which i usually cant do) and thought it was something with my vape settings, after realizing it wasnt i made this post, once again i apologize, thanks for the reply
