so apparently while ive been busy jerking off to hentai and doing drugs ive missed that vape v4 has a backtrack module, so here are some questions i have:

1) what the fuck does it do?
2) is it considered blatant or not?
3) how well does it bypass anticheats?
4) if its not considered blatant, what are the recommended settings for it?

It can be difficult for a server to accurately flag for reach due to latency. That’s why servers can’t just ban for anything a server sees as above 3 block reach, because of lag you have to wait for both clients to have the same player position information.

A server can compensate for this by saying an extra attack distance might’ve been possible because you were just hitting someone whose position wasn’t updated to be further away yet. If your ping is higher this window of what might’ve been possible is bigger.

Not every server does this, so it would be completely redundant to use on severs that don’t use latency based lag compensation. For example many servers will just allow up to 4 block reach in order to compensate for this. In this case you might as well just use reach, it would work better and probably even be safer.

The module just shows previous positions and allows you to hit them at that time. Your ability to not flag for reach with it depends entirely on whether or not the anticheat compensates for lag, and on your ping to the server. If you have higher ping the server will be more lenient for what it allows. If your ping is below 50 this will probably be useless to you unless you forcefully increase your ping. Every 50 ms of ping you have means you can have 1 extra tick - theoretically, it still depends on the server.
