Search only works with ores exposed in caves, these are my settings and they work well:

I haven't found a single diamond in 4 games of uhc with the xray. The ores search only loads when I look at the ore, why?

Because the server doesn't send you the datas of where the ores are. It's how the anti-xray works.

The Xray and search module works without issues, but if the server doesn't send actual or sends misleading datas about of where the blocks are, ther's nothing to do. But the only cave option can help to "bypass" a bit the anti-xrays.
