TBH, I saw no difference in aim assist myself, however, I started using V2 instead, as the misplace actually works as intended and I get far fewer crashes.
I am not a dev., but they should look into adding the misplace of V2, to V3.

I use it on max and it is just a lot stronger and locks on to people instead of being smooth
