To add a support, it's better to have a stable version of forge (i.e. recommended) and the 1.8.8 doesn't have one.

And it's not interesting to add a support just for a minor part of the vape community.

Nobody uses those clients because they suck. Just use lunar and if you cant use lunar use blc.
