Vape Lite: Autoclicker "Trigger" option doesn't work

When enabled, its supposed to only click when hovering over a target. Instead, it works the exact same as before. Any idea why?

If you hold your left click while not in range or facing away from an entity, you will find that your clicks will be blocked.

This is not working for me. With trigger on it will act the same exact way as with it off. With nothing in front of me it will still click.
(Vape Lite, 1.14.4 no forge, default minecraft client)
