How much RAM to allocate to Minecraft?

Title, I usually go for 6gb of RAM out of a 32gb cpu. Should I allocate more or less to minimize frame drops?

I genuinely have no idea how much ram I should allocate, people say there's such a thing as too much ram which slows down Minecraft. Alright I'll tune it down to 4 thanks!

I run Minecraft on 2GB (1.7.10) and seems to run fine.

you need all of your ram to be allocated to minecraft because if not your house will literally explode. the power will surge from your pc through to your house and the electricity unit and then boom. say bye to ur house. do you care about your family?
