From your POV it pulls players toward you, it doesn't do that server side (impossible.)
Yes, I believe that's right. Under normal circumstances, and as a normal player, you wouldn't be able to do anything to a server to force it to behave in a way so that it gives you the upper hand. But I remember, and this was years ago at this point, that there were rumors circulating about some servers implementing misplace and reduced knockback for certain players on the server side. You don't hear about this sort of thing now and I wonder if this practice really did get buried then and there, or if it's still out there and people just aren't aware.
