Tapping the sprint key alone does not reset your sprint state to the server. Your sprint state desyncs with the server after attacking something, this is sometimes considered a bug in the game itself, but there is no vanilla mechanic to resync it besides releasing the forward key, blocking, or sneaking which all slow you. So if you’re somehow resetting your sprint and not slowing then you’re doing a non existent game mechanic, it’s detectable. If a server doesn’t ban for it it’s because they’re not checking for it yet.
this basically explains it im not sure if this is what most clients have it as exactly but it says you have to hit them once not sprinting then it will press sprint again

the recently added "Reset Sprint" in keepsprint seems to be doing exactly this - would be nice if this was an option in WTap instead.

also doesnt seem to flag Intave or Grim on anticheat test servers. (with keepsprint put to 0.6, which the default slowdown in minecraft)

EDIT: Occasionally flags if you're using Myau at the same time

I tested on anticheat-test & loiysa with retain factor 0.6 (default slowdown) + using it currently in sumo duels on hypixel (they use a grim fork) no flagging so far for me.
EDIT: Occasionally flags if you're using Myau at the same time

It doesn't. You need to either use 0,6 (vanilla slowdown) or 1.0 (which works on grim), anything in between that will flag. The sprint reset itself doesn't flag.

If I had to guess;
"MoreKB" Legit: Normal Wtap
LegitFast: Normal wtap but makes you go from sprinting to walking rather than releasing movement key completely, as Manthe said it isn't possible in vanilla.

Is it detectable? No idea. You can try it I guess, if I had to guess it isn't exactly a prioritized detection but some advanced anticheats might detect it, I really have no clue.
it's not very detectable servers barely check for it

it's barely detectable in any server at high repress delays
even works on polar Anticheat
