Saving settings issue

I open vapev4 though one of these download links which i just drag out on my desk, however every time i save my settings i put in at vape and i close minecraft, my settings dissapear, and this even when i click the save button. I've tried different stuff and done this about 5 times now but dont understand why my settings dissapear, anyone who can help me?
